DECAPEINT is formulated with sodium hydroxide, alkaline salts and surfactants. It strips unbaked paints, like glycerophtalic, vinyl and acrylic paint and primers, from wood and ferrous-metal substrates. This product is used as a soak in a bath heated at between 20 and 40 °C. Wood that has been stripped using DECAPEINT must go through an acid-neutralising process to help lighten the wood before repainting.
Step 1
DECAPEINT must be diluted in water.
Step 2
Fill the tank with water, add DECAPEINT (heat release). Homogenise the mixture.
Step 3
Soak the parts to be stripped in the bath.
Step 4
Leave to work. Then, once the paint has completely broken down, rinse thoroughly with a high-pressure washer.
